   About the Position

Impact Statement
iHelp International’s Robotics Project is supporting disadvantaged children and youth in the Waterloo Region by providing free technology and robotics education. Many of our participants come from newcomer and low-income families and would not otherwise have access to advanced learning opportunities.
We are currently seeking a volunteer Mastercam Instructor who has strong experience using Mastercam and is willing to teach and guide our associates in developing practical skills in CAD/CAM and CNC-related design.
By volunteering with this project, you will be making a direct and meaningful impact by helping youth gain valuable technical knowledge, build confidence, and explore future career pathways in engineering, manufacturing, and technology. Your contribution is more than teaching software, it is an investment in the future success, happiness, and well-being of children who need support the most.

Description
iHelp International is currently seeking a Volunteer Mastercam Instructor with strong experience using Mastercam. The volunteer will teach and guide our associates in developing practical skills in CAD/CAM and CNC-related design, supporting our mission to provide free technology education to disadvantaged children and youth in the Waterloo Region.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Mastercam fundamentals and practical applications
• Support associates in learning CAD/CAM design and CNC concepts
• Help participants understand toolpaths, machining processes, and safe practices
• Provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement during training sessions
• Assist in preparing simple lesson plans and learning activities

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: The volunteer should have strong CAD/CAM skills prior to applying.
Working Conditions: The Mastercam Instructor will teach 1–3 staff and volunteers at a beginner level, 2–3 times per week. Sessions will be held in a supportive learning environment with flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability.
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Anytime
Flexible based on volunteer availability (four to six hours a week).
