Impact Statement Schneider Haus National Historic Site is a vibrant community space nestled in the heart of downtown Kitchener. The site features the historic house museum and galleries. Visitors can experience timely exhibits and learn about the connection between our community's past and present.

Description Our popular summer camps are back!!!
Volunteers will assist in delivering our Movers and Makers and Mighty Makers Summer Camps this summer! Camps offer a blend of building challenges, arts and crafts, games, and lots of outdoor play! Our dedicated staff and volunteers make summer camp fun, safe, and memorable. Our Summer Day Camps take place in July and August, and we provide care for a wide range of ages with Movers and Makers (ages 5-7) and Mighty Makers (ages 8-11).
This is a great opportunity for high school students to accumulate the volunteer hours they need for graduation! This position is ideal for volunteers who are interested in developing their leadership skills. Experience working or interacting with children is preferred but not required.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Volunteers are required to attend in-person training before their first volunteer shift. Volunteers will always be directly supervised by staff. Position specific training will be provided. Working Conditions: Camp activities take place indoors and outdoors. Volunteers may need to help set up yard games, craft materials, items for outdoor play, moving tables, chairs, etc. Volunteers must be able to tolerate outdoor summer temperatures and participate in energetic activities for long periods of time. Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less Start Date: 2026-06-26 End Date: 2026-08-28 Weekday - Daytime Volunteer shifts are available 9:00am - 4:30pm. Monday to Friday during July and August. Volunteers can choose morning, afternoon or full-day shifts.
