Description
We’re seeking a dedicated, community-minded volunteer to serve as Food Distribution Program Coordinator with the Stanley Park Community Association.

In this leadership role, you’ll guide and support volunteers to ensure our weekly food distribution runs smoothly, helping local families access nutritious food in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

- Lead volunteers on-site during food distribution.
- Communicate with volunteers, the Food Programs Lead, and partners like the City of Kitchener and the Food Bank.
- Support scheduling, resolve issues, and attend monthly meetings.

Qualifications:

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with food programs is an asset.
- Collaborative, compassionate approach.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: - Basic Health and Safety, AODA and evacuation training provided
- Facility Tour and overview of programs and events
- Training and orientation will be provided by the Volunteer Engagement Manager within 2 weeks of acceptance of the position
Working Conditions: - Work takes place indoor & outdoor
- Can include bending, lifting, moving heavy boxes, tables, chairs, etc.
- Directly communicating with members of the community and other volunteers
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Daytime
- Approximately 10 hours per month
- On-site Wednesdays 10:15am-12:30pm
