Each year, they help us bring an exceptional cultural experience to the Waterloo Region—one that celebrates accessible jazz music, sparks meaningful dialogue, and showcases innovative artistic expression.
From board and committee members who guide our vision to the many individuals who generously contribute their time throughout the three-day festival, our volunteers make it possible for us to offer interactive learning opportunities, engaging performances, and inclusive programming for the entire community.
Their commitment is the heartbeat of the festival, and our impact would not be possible without them.

Join Us for the 33rd Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival!
July 17, 18, 19
The Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival is celebrating 33 incredible years of bringing accessible, world class jazz to our community—and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year another standout success.
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Greeting guests and creating a welcoming festival atmosphere
- Providing program information and answering questions
- Supporting donation collection
- Assisting in the Family Tent with activities and engagement
- Selling festival merchandise
- Helping with setup and teardown of tools, equipment, and site infrastructure
We’re seeking volunteers who are flexible, adaptable, and excited to contribute to a vibrant community event.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Orientation July 11 at 2PM. Location details to follow.
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled shift to check in at the volunteer tent.
Working Conditions: Outdoors! Rain or shine!
