Join in the festivities, help make an impact, and support Ontario Athletes in a display of athleticism, training, and determination! Your contribution will make these games a success, and help the aspiring athletes reach towards their dreams of competing on the national and international stages!

The Main events for the Ontario Summer Games Waterloo Region happen from July30th - August 2nd! Be sure to come out and support the athletes!

Description
Medical Volunteers will be supporting everyone who is attending the games at one of the venues. Volunteers will need to have up to date training on first aid and CPR certification. For some events, volunteers will also need bronze cross certification.

There are two ways you can support as a medical volunteer:
- Assist with the Polyclinic
- Support the venues

Note: Volunteers will be required to provide proof of medical credentials or complete a vulnerable sector check for this role.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Online Introduction to the games to be completed before the first shift.

Volunteers will be scheduled for a special training session for medical support volunteers prior to the games. This training will cover specific needs for the event.
Volunteers will also need to schedule a venue orientation once they have been assigned to a specific venue (1-2 hours in the weeks before the games).
Working Conditions: Conditions will vary based on venue!
If you are outdoors, dress for the weather and don't forget to bring sunscreen.
If you are indoors, make sure to bring comfortable shoes and an extra layer, just in case.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance
Transportation: On a bus route

The events will be taking place from July 30th to August 2nd. Specific times, dates and locations will be assigned to volunteers after they have been accepted.
