Impact Statement
Do you enjoy spending time with children? Join our summer programs as a youth volunteer and earn community service hours for high school. You'll assist staff during children's programs, provide hands-on support and interact with kids ages 4-12.
This opportunity is for teens (13 - 18 years) entering grades 9 - 12 in the fall of 2026.
DATES: July-August, 2026

Description
What will you do?
Provide hands-on support to staff
Work collaboratively with others
Oversee activity stations and encourage kids to join the fun
Interact with children in a positive and friendly manner
What you bring?
Willingness to interact and help others (staff, volunteers, kids)
Excited about working with kids and willing to smile, start a conversation, play a game, give instructions or provide assistance - experience an asset
Able to work independently
Reliable and able to attend scheduled shifts; communicates absences in advance

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: A training video and onsite guidance will be provided.
Working Conditions: Library space

Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
TIME COMMITMENT:
Must be able to volunteer for at least five shifts; each shift is 2 hours.
Once accepted, volunteers can schedule themselves through our volunteer portal.
