Impact Statement The FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museums Board is an entirely volunteer-run public foundation dedicated to preserving he rich history and culture in the Region of Waterloo. FRIENDS supports the Region of Waterloo Museums; Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, Doon Heritage Village, Schneider Haus, and McDougall Cottage.

Description The FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museums is actively seeking to fill several board vacancies. Our Charitable Foundation is looking for support through fundraising events and activities, and promoting our community’s heritage.
We would love people with a passion for arts and heritage, and keeping our Museums a key part of the region's history and future.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Training will be provided by the Board President. Working Conditions: Some meetings can be attended virtually. Some committee time for planning events and activities, as well as volunteering at fundraising events, is expected.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Evening Two-year term Regular meetings are held on the first Wednesday evening of each month, approximately two hours each meeting (virtual attendance possible) Some committee time for planning events and activities is expected (1-2 hours/month) Some volunteering at fundraising events is expected The total time commitment is 5-10 hours per month.
